Goals, Goals, Goals!

As a new year begins I am taken back to previous goals made, goals not met, and goals that seem so far out of reach. I have found myself in years past disappointed in myself for not being able to complete them.
I have to admit I am really good at starting things and not finishing them. Really I am.

My Uncompleted List
  • blankets
  • getting rid of 10 lbs
  • lifeguarding course
  • regular Family Home Evening
  • regular Family Prayer
  • regular Scripture Study
  • a book (any book with out my mothers help)
  • weekly journal keeping
  • food storage
  • buy a home
The list really could go on but I want to base this new year on completing those goals that I have made in the past, that have been forgotten, or that have just not been completed.
It is going to be a good year. I look forward to the growth that my girls will make physically and spiritually. I look forward to another year of getting to know my husband that much more.
I am excited to be able to look back on 2012 and say that I was able to finally complete!!

Our girls are growing. They love playing with one another. and really enjoy cuddling each other in Momma & Daddy's bed.

Hannah:
I think that this picture says it all..... DIVA, with an ever so gentle heart.
She is going to be 4 this year, that means she can now go to primary with the big kids at church. Her nursery leader has been telling me for quite some time that she is a little mom to all the younger ones. She is so excited about growing up. I have to admit it scares her momma a lot.
She loves to play house, she loves to colour, she loves to bake with mom for real, and she is very particular with how her hair is done and what she wears each day! There is no new baby in the near future, but she is excited and keeps reminding me that I need to let my tummy get chubby so that I can have another baby. I wish that was all I needed to do to get another one....
We love her and want her to stay little for a while longer.

Chloe:
I think that this face says in all....Light Switch, she is on right now!!
This little monkey is wild, she is right behind her big sister all day. Trying to do the same things as Hannah. She can turn on a scowl just like that but then give you a smile seconds later. She really hates going to bed, so that has become Daddy's job! He can put her to sleep in no time. She screams when she hears the word "mimes", cause that means bedtime!
She runs almost everywhere she goes...if she is not running she is swinging her Right arm with attitude. She is a bit of a picky eater. She sticks to eating meat and fruit at almost every meal. Gags on potatoes or anything with that kind of texture. I love her wild personality and look forward to what this new year brings.

Night & Day!

Our girls have been a wonderful blessing in our lives!

NIGHT
Hannah is pretty chill, easy going, sleeps until 10 am most mornings, acts like she is an adult and can turn tears on and off in an instant! She loves her Babies, dirt, and enjoys wrestling with her baby Sister. She loves learning about her Heavenly Father and retains almost everything you tell her. She loves to sing Primary songs and adds such a wonderful Spirit to our Home.

DAY
Chloe is full of spunk, always in to something, laughs right from her belly, and never sleeps in. She is up at the break of dawn, ready to wrestle with her Big Sister who is usually still sleeping. She is full of smiles, eats more than her Big Sister and needs to be entertained pretty much all day.

Oh how We love our Girls. But oh how they are so different! It is crazy to me how different they are but both fit our little family so perfect. We love them!

She is full of Spunk!
She took a liking to a friend of Roberto's who
spent a few days with us!
This is what Hannah does! She loves to tidy
and clean up after Distructo Baby crawls through
the house!
Tidying up after her Sister just finished emptying
all the clothes!
Not so happy after pulling a plant on top of herself!
Making a mess! Again!

A New Day!

I have been overwhelmed with a great sense of gratitude for so many things in my life.....

On Monday of this week Roberto came home for work, had dinner (the usual), and then he proceeded to do something that isn't so the usual in our home, He called all of his Ladies to the living room for Family Home Evening. He asked Hannah to pick a song to sing and then proceeded to read 1Nephi 3:7. He taught a fantastic lesson on Obedience that not only Hannah needed to learn but her Mom as well. We finished with another Song and then he took his Ladies out for a Ice cream cone. It was a Wonderful night. This is one of the many things that I am so very grateful for, a husband that recognizes what his family needs, and doesn't wait to provide.

Daughters who help me be better, Hannah has started to express her love for things. Her love for her Mom and Dad, her sister and friends, and maybe even Dad's friend (I will fill you in Later). I am so grateful for daughters who teach me to love unconditionally. There is nothing better than the unconditional love from my girls. A hug and a pat on the back from Hannah during a mid night potty break and smile that would melt your heart from Chloe Chlo. These simple acts teach me to LOVE.

I am enjoying the weather that we have had today and only pray that it will stay longer than 2 days, I will take what I can get though!

Roberto is in the process of a big Job change and I have been helping out while he gives a proper 2 weeks notice at his other job. The new job that he is about to go to is Property Maintenance for Calgary Housing. In my 2 Weeks of doing Landscaping for Calgary Housing I have come to appreciate more than ever how I was raised, the family that I was raised with, a Mother who recognized my needs, a Father who took his role and magnified it to his fullest and the Country that I have been raised in. The children that I have had a chance to chat with have opened my eyes to the challenges that I was never been exposed to personally. Neglect, Loss, Hunger, In Need. All things that I never had to experience but little children deal with every day. I am so so so grateful for my life.

Most of all I am grateful for all of the "New Days" that I have in my life. New days to grow closer to my Husband, to learn from my Children, to grow closer to my Heavenly Father and New Days to repent and become better through the Atonement. I am so grateful for my Savior and the ability I have to start all over.

Boxes, Bins, and Kennels ... Oh MY!

Who needs toys?? when you have Boxes, Bins and Kennels to play with all day long?
I have found myself slowly purging toys due to the fact that my girls don't play with them. Does anyone else do this?
Chloe manages to go anywhere her Big Sister goes? We already have encountered many wrestles

This Bin used to have baby clothes which I too got rid of. Spring Cleaning you might say!

Chloe tries and trie to get into Lady's kennel everyday and finally she figured it out, Hannah may have locked her in!

Life is good right now. Life is fast pace, life is busy and life is Fun. Thank you Roberto, Hannah, and Chloe for keeping me on my toes.

Easter in BC!

Easter in BC was absolutely WONDERFUL!

It consisted of family (Bonny & family, Richard & family, Grandma Great, Auntie Myrna & Uncle Maurice, Auntie Sandy & Uncle Gary, Big & Little Grandpa*, and
Uncle Jon. It was so great to see everyone!
We also were spoiled with +20 weather, Hannah didn't know what to do.
Roberto got to go fishing, but once again did not catch anything. He is convinced that there are no fish in BC. While fishing Richard forgot how to canoe and decided that it was a good idea to sit on the side of the canoe...... this turned out to not be such a good idea after all! It resulted in Roberto and Richard having to swim 200 meters to shore in Freezing cold water with Rubber boots and all. I wish I was there to get some photos but the story is just as entertaining.
We spent time at the park Friday and Saturday, had a picnic at Gardom Lake, Turkey Dinner on Friday and Eater Egg hunt on Saturday. It was so good to be back home. Thanks Mom & Dad for having us all!

Hannah was very much in to the Easter Egg Hunt!
*Big Grandpa showing Hannah some tricks on the swings!
*Little Grandpa pushing Chloe on the swings.
Parker was such a fun little Boy!

My Girls!

Where has the time gone???

It seems like yesterday that I was admitted into the Foothills Hospital 10 days overdue to finally have this calm, relaxed Bundle of Joy! (May 17th, 2008)
And now she is almost 3 going on 16. She is still her calm, relaxed, easygoing girl who enjoys playing with her babies and telling people what to do. She must get that from her Mom.
When I was a wee one my Cousin Tanya would tell my mom, "Auntie Coleen.... Mary-Ellen should be a boss when she grows up!"
Hannah knows when her birthday and makes sure everyone else knows when the big day is too. She has just learned how to print the letter "H" and has discovered that it looks fabulous on her bedroom wall. I have a hard time being mad at that. I may just leave it there for a while to enjoy. Her new favorite thing is Food and is always snacking on something.

It seems like just hours ago that I was doing stairs at the Foothills Hospital, hoping that this bundle of joy would make her long awaited debut! (Sept 14th, 2010)
And now I can't keep her still. Chloe Anne is complete opposite to her Big Sis. Hannah!!
She is still trying to crawl, but manages to get to where she wants to be. She is always talking! Everything goes in her mouth. She has quite the sense of humour already.
And to top it off she is a bit Mother Obsessed!

Some days I just can't help but nibble on those cheeks!
Oh how I love my girls.
